Bhubaneswar: Data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) show that vehicle registrations have fallen by 19.29 per cent in November 2020 compared to the same time period last year.
However, there is a healthy 29.32 per cent growth compared to October 2020.
The overall sales were 18,27,990 units in November 2020 compared to 22,64,947 units in November 2019.
The festive season saw good demand. Passenger vehicle segment grew at 13.6 per cent while the two-wheeler industry saw a shift from 100cc to 125cc.
Demand for tractors and small commercial vehicles continued to grow while that for buses reduced. Higher prices of BS6 models and finance issues are seen as reasons for the dip in demand for buses.
