New Wagon R Bookings Open

New Delhi: Just a week away from the launch, Maruti Suzuki has started accepting bookings for the next generation Wagon R. Interested customers can book the new car for just Rs 11,000 at Maruti Arena showrooms or online on the company’s website.

The new Wagon R is based on the HEARTECT platform on which the Ignis, Swift and Ertiga are based. The company claims that the new platform makes the car stronger and safer. The car will also get driver-side airbag, ABS, EBD, parking sensors, seat belt reminder as standard. The top-end will have dual airbags.

The car has grown bigger in dimensions and that translates to more space in the interior. Reports suggest that this time, the Wagon R will get the 1.2-litre K-series engine as an option along with the existing 1.0 litre. The tall-boy will be available in AMT and CNG options from the launch as well.

The new Wagon R will be launched on January 23.
