Bhubaneswar: In yet another step towards providing the best education o children, a special education needs (SEN) Globe has been inaugurated in KiiT International School here on Sunday.
The SEN Globe aims to provide better remedial therapy, for their Special Educational Needs’ departmental wing.
Founder Director, Action for Autism National Centre for Autism, India, Merry Barua; Founder, Director of Autism Society West Bengal;, Indrani Basu; Founder KIIT & KISS Achyuta Samanta and Chairperson, KiiT International School, Mona Lisa Bal were present during the inauguration.
Speaking on the occasion, Barua said the SEN Globe can be a game-changer for differently-abled children and can show the world what is inclusiveness. More than 400 differently-abled individuals have been employed by KIIT Group of Institutes.
SEN Globe is a special education wing at KIIT international school having around 70 children with different kinds of special needs, said Dr. Mona Lisa Bal. A team of 26 trained professionals take care of educational as well as other needs of the children, she added.
