New Year Message: CM Mohan Majhi Advises Bureaucrats To Capitalise On PM’s All-Out Support To Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Wednesday set the goal for New Year by advising Odisha’s top bureaucrats to work in the spirit of collective responsibility to ensure the success of government initiatives.

Addressing a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan here, Majhi said promises made by his government to the people of the state over the past 6-7 months have largely been fulfilled. “Our collective efforts led to the successful implementation of several national-level programmes like Navy Day and the DGP’s conference. I request you all to focus on ensuring that Odisha performs better than other states,” he told the senior IAS officers, including the chief secretary and additional chief secretaries of different departments.

The CM stressed the need for coordinated efforts for the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, whose success he said would elevate Odisha’s stature globally.

Majhi also mentioned about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special focus on the development of Odisha and the need to leverage the opportunities provided by the central government. “PM Modi is scheduled to visit the state twice in January after his three trips in the last six months. The Centre is supporting Odisha in various fields and therefore, we should utilise this opportunity. By overcoming challenges together, we can achieve the vision of a developed Odisha,” he said.

Deputy CM KV Singh Deo and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said 2025 will be a year of progress for Odisha. They advised that collective efforts should be made to achieve the state’s goals for 2036 and 2047.

Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja said the officers of the state were competent and committed to achieving the government’s objectives under the leadership of the chief minister.
