Jajpur: A newborn boy was rescued by police from the roadside near Chorda Square under Vyasanagar Municipality in Jajpur district on Tuesday.
The cops have admitted the baby to a local hospital for treatment. They later informed the district child protection unit about the matter.
Meanwhile, the doctors treating the baby said that the child’s condition is stable now. The infant has been kept under observation. He might be shifted to Sishu Bhavan in Cuttack, if required, the doctors added.
However, police have started inquiry to find out the whereabouts of the child.
