Newly-Married Couple Found Dead Inside House In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Bodies of a newly-married couple were recovered from a house at a village in Banki area of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Thursday.

According to sources, the incident took place at Bheda Ramachandrapur village under the jurisdiction of Banki police station in the district. The couple had got marked barely seven months ago.

The deceased were identified as Dharanidhar Sahu and his wife Nirupama Sahu. The man, who was running in a sweet shop in Bhubaneswar, had reached his village on Wednesday. He was staying in Bhubaneswar and used to visit his village

The couple had gone to sleep last night. However, both Dharanidhar and his wife were found hanging from the ceiling fan of their bed room this morning.

After getting information, a police team reached the site and launched an investigation. The bodies were sent for postmortem. While the two were suspected to have committed suicide, the exact reason would be ascertained only after a thorough probe, police said.
