Angul: A newly-wed woman was found hanging in Similipada village of Angul district on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Priyanka Priyadarshini Sahu, is a resident of Dehadola village under Parajang police station limits in the district.
According to sources, the body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her in-laws’ house.
The locals suspect suicide, but Sahu’s father claimed that she was murdered by her in-laws over dowry and has lodged a police complaint in this regard.
Based on the allegation, police have started investigation into the case.
The body has been seized and sent for post-mortem.
