New Delhi: The news of Chhota Rajan succumbing to COVID-19 on Friday afternoon had spread like wild fire and was reported in the media too.
But Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital and Delhi Police confirmed that it was false news and the gangster is alive, reported NDTV.
The 61-year-old Chhota Rajan was admitted to AIIMS on April 26 after he tested COVID positive and is under treatment there only since then.
Arrested in 2015 after deportation from Bali (Indonesia) in 2015, Rajan was lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
He was convicted and sentenced to life term in the 2011 murder case of journalist Jyotirmoy Dey.
