New Delhi: Prayas, a Non-Profit Organisation organised a fundraising event, “WEAVE” We’ to promote Odisha handloom on December 9 at Constitution Club, New Delhi. A fashion show, in which women showcased ethnic Odisha outfits was also a part of the event.
Chief Guest of the event was Justice V Gopala Gowda, former judge, Supreme Court of India & Former Chief Justice of Odisha High Court. The special guest was Anubhav Mohanty, Kendrapada MP while the guests of honour were Margani Bharat, Rajahmundry MP, Priyadarshi Mishra, former MLA & chairperson of Odisha State Housing Board, S.K. Verma (senior advocate, Supreme Court).
Weavers from Odisha displayed and sold the handloom of the state. Advisor of Prayas, Rosalin Patasani Mishra lauded Director Sambit Samal and the core team of the organisation for the effort.
