Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Wednesday directed NHAI to immediately repair the Banarpala-Angul City stretch of NH-55, which is in a deplorable condition worsened by the incessant rain in recent days.
In a meeting held via video-conferencing, Mahapatra also directed NHAI to expedite construction of the Angul City bypass road.
Angul MLA Rajanikant Singh, Angul Collector Sidhartha Shankar, Principal Secretary (Works) Vir Vikram Yadav, Engineer-in-Chief Manoranjan Mishra, OSD to Chief Secretary Dillip Routrai and NHAI CGM Ram Chandra Panda participated in the meeting.
