Bhubaneswar: Traffic on Kuakhai extreme left bridge, connecting the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, will be diverted from Tuesday (September 22).
The Commissionerate Police, in a notification, said all the vehicles en route Cuttack from Bhubaneswar will be diverted from the extreme left bridge towards the middle bridge from 11 am to 4 am from September 22 to 27 or till the work of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is over.
The notification further said that vehicles are being diverted to facilitate inspection/survey work in the first phase. It will also ensure smooth flow of traffic at Kuakhai bridge and the approach roads and safety and security of commuters.
The NHAI had proposed to undertake inspection/survey of Kuakhai’ extreme left bridge, Kathajodi extreme left bridge, Mahanadi middle bridge and Birupa extreme left bridge on NH-16 and requested for diversion of traffic, it added.
