Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are giving fans a nostalgic glimpse into the beginning of their love story.
On the July 14 episode of Hey Jonas, the couple revisited the very first messages they exchanged, and screenshots of the conversation have since gone viral.
As Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas read the messages aloud, Priyanka and Nick couldn’t stop laughing, smiling and cringing at their younger selves while holding hands.
The throwback chats reveal how their connection first began in 2016, well before they started dating.
Nick shared that he decided to message Priyanka after his brother Kevin asked him if he had watched ‘Quantico’, starring Priyanka.
Although he hadn’t seen the show, seeing Priyanka on a ‘Quantico’ billboard prompted him to reach out.
Joe then read aloud the first direct message Nick had sent Priyanka on Twitter, which read, “Hello. I’ve heard from a few people that we should meet. I have to agree with these people.. Are you in LA anytime soon?”
Priyanka was already aware of Nick through their mutual friend, Graham Rogers. Instead of continuing the conversation on Twitter, she asked him to switch to texting.
Priyanka replied, “Hey.. Graham’s told me so much about you.. Let’s text. More private. My team can access this.”

The conversation soon moved from Twitter to text messages. Priyanka revealed that once they started texting, Nick wanted to be sure he was really talking to her.
To confirm it was actually Priyanka, he asked her to send a timestamped photo before they continued chatting.
What began with a simple Twitter (now X) direct message eventually turned into one of the most talked-about celebrity love stories.
Priyanka and Nick tied the knot as per both Christian and Hindu ceremonies in December 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in the presence of close family and friends.
