New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be honoured with Nigeria’s second highest national honour ‘The Grand Commander of The Order of the Niger’. Queen Elizabeth is the only foreign dignitary who has been awarded GCON in 1969.

With the announcement of the Nigerian honour, this will be the 17th such international award being conferred to PM Modi.

Currently, the Prime Minister is on a five-day visit to Nigeria, Brazil, and Guyana.
