Bhubaneswar: Keeping in mind the large congregation of people on New Year’s eve, the Odisha Government on Thursday announced night curfew across the state.
In a tweet, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena said the night curfew will remain in force from 10 pm Thursday night to 5 am on January 1.
He said barring all essential services, there will be no vehicular movement during the period.
The SRC has requested people to cooperate with the administration in its efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The state government has also taken extra precautionary measures against the possible spread of mutated strain of the virus following the recent arrival of people from United Kingdom.
