Bhubaneswar: Odisha will continue to experience a fall in night temperature till October 30 with most of the places in the state registering a minimum temperature of less than 20 degree Celsius, SOA’s Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC) here said on Friday.
A CEC bulletin said incursion of moisture from the Bay of Bengal towards the coast would commence from October 31, causing a gradual increase of water vapour over land which would lead to a rise in night temperature.
There may be light rain over coastal districts on November 1 and 2, it said, adding, that the rise in night temperature would continue till November 5 after which it would gradually decrease.
Notably, Kandhamal and Koraput districts recorded the lowest temperature of around 12°C each while 21 other places in the state saw the mercury dropping below 20°C in the last 24 hours.
