Bhubaneswar: Kirei in Sundargarh district at 9.5 degree Celsius was the coldest place in Odisha for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), over 20 places in Odisha, including the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, recorded night temperature at 15 degree Celsius and below last night.
The minimum temperature at G Udayagiri stood at 10 degree C followed by Phulbani and Daringbadi at 10.5 degree C each and Similiguda in Koraput at 10.9 degree C.
The other places where the mercury dropped below 15 degree Celsius are:-
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 14.5 degree C and 15 degree C respectively.
Besides, the night temperature in Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur, Bhadrak and Titilagarh stood at 15 degree C.
Notably, IMD on Friday predicted a gradual fall in the minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at a few places in the state during the next 24 hours with no large change thereafter.
