Bhubaneswar: After two days of low pressure-triggered rain, the night temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius across Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
According to the midday bulletin, the minimum temperature is unlikely to witness large change during next 48 hours and gradually fall by 2-3 degree Celsius in the subsequent 3 days across the state.
The weather agency has forecast light to moderate rain at a few places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal , Kendrapada, Boudh, Angul and Dhenkanal on Tuesday. Shallow to moderate fog may also occur at one or two places in Keonjhar.

On December 25, light rain may continue at one or two places in Puri, Khurda, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur as the well-marked low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu coasts is expected to move west-southwestwards and weaken gradually into a low-pressure area over the same region.
In the last 24 hours, G Udayagiri in Kandhamal was the coldest in Odisha at 10.6 degree Celsius followed by Koraput at 12 degree Celsius. While Keonjhar witnessed moderate fog, maximum rainfall activity occurred in Jajpur, Koraput and Gajapati districts.
