Bhubaneswar: While day weather conditions will continue to prevail across Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast a fall in the night temperature by 3°C to 4°C at many places in the state.
The state had witnessed a continuous rise in temperature over the past week due to prevailing wind patterns and a depression that persisted over Bay of Bengal. “There are high chances of drop in minimum temperature again by 3°C to 4°C in February first week. It will continue for three to four days with no change thereafter,” a scientist of regional IMD centre said.
This is being attributed to the strengthening of northerly and north-westerly dry wind at the lower level.
