Night Temp To Remain 3-4°C Below Normal In Odisha; Bhubaneswar To Feel The Chill At 11°C

Bhubaneswar: Odisha will continue to reel under cold wave conditions for at least another four to five days.

According to the Indi Meteorological Department, the night temperature will remain 3-4 degrees below norma across the state during the next 4-5 days. There will be fog and mist in the morning and clear sky thereafter.

The mercury is likely to plummet to 11°C in Bhubaneswar on Friday night. The city had recorded 12.2°C the previous night.

Notably, Daringbadi, considered the Kashmir of Odisha, had recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5°C in the last 24 hours. Five other places registered temperatures below 10°C. The night temperature dropped to 7.5°C in Phulbani, followed by Koraput (9°C), Titilagarh (9.3°C), Jharsuguda (9.6°C), Keonjhar (9.6°C) and Sundargarh and Bhawanipatna at 10 °C, each.

Other places that recorded minimum temperature below 15°C are:– Balasore (12.3°C), Paradip (14°C), Gopalpur (14.2°C), Baripada (12°C), Angul (11.6°C), Sambalpur (12.2°C), Hiirakud (11.4°C), Talcher (13°C), Balangir (11.5°C), Malkangiri( 13.5°C), Sonepur (13.2°C) and Nayagarh (12°C).
