Bhubaneswar: Most parts of Odisha will experience cold wave condition in the next 48 hours, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a release on Thursday.
According to the duty officer of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre AK Nayak, there is a low trough over the south-west and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal which runs from the south-west Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka coast to the west-central Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh coast. Under its influence, there will be light to moderate rainfall with thundershower at one or two places over the districts in south and interior Odisha for two days.
Stating that there will be no large change in the night temperature in Odisha as the weather will remain cloudy, Nayak said the weather will change in the subsequent two days from November 14 with a fall in the night temperature by 2-3 °C.
