Nikunja Bihari Dhal Appointed Gridco Chairman

Bhubaneswar: IAS officer of 1993 batch Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed Chairman of Gridco, Bhubaneswar, and Chairman of OPTCL, Bhubaneswar.

This will be in addition to Dhal’s responsibilities as Principal Secretary of Energy Department, a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance department said on Wednesday.

In addition to his own duties, 1998-batch IAS Suresh Kumar Vashishth will continue to be in charge of the office of Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department following his return from election duty.

Till then, Agriculture Production Commissioner Raj Kumar Sharma (1987 batch) will remain in additional charge of the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department, the notification added.
