Nine Arrested For Illegal Transportation Of Petroleum Products At Khurda

Jatni: The Quick Action Team of Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested nine persons for allegedly transporting 40, 000 litres of petroleum products in Jatni of Khurda district.

Petroleum products including 22,000 litres of kerosene and 18,000 litres of diesel were seized from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) depot. However, the master mind behind the theft managed to flee the spot during raid, a police officer informed.
In a separate incident, two miscreants looted Rs 3.90 lakh from a retired jawan near Bangala Square in Betnoti of Mayurbhanj district.
A police complaint regarding the robbery has been lodged by the victim.
