Puri: Police on Sunday recovered as many as nine human skulls from an isolated place behind Kamala hospital on Station Road in Puri district on Sunday.
The skulls have been seized and sent for forensic examination.
Some locals on seeing the skulls packed in a sack had informed the Sea Beach police.
“The skulls could have either been used by medical students for study purpose or brought by people to practise witchcraft. We can only come to a conclusion after receiving reports from the laboratory,” a police officer informed.
