Cuttack/Bhadrak: At least nine persons were injured in three separate incidents of group clashes during Holi celebrations on Friday.
The first incident was reported from Bhandaridiha village in Keonjhar district when a violent clash broke out between the locals of Bhandaridiha and Padmapur villages. Four persons, who sustained injuries in the incident, were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Similarly, two persons were injured after a clash ensued between two groups at Taruan village under Ramchandrapur police station limits in the district. The members of both the groups gathered and started pelting stones at each other over a suspected old enmity.
In Bhadrak district, three people sustained critical injuries in another group clash that took place at Batola village.
Adequate numbers of police personnel were deployed at the spot to thwart any untoward incident.
