Bhubaneswar: There has been a slight fall in the minimum temperature at some places in Odisha, indicating the onset of winter.
The night temperature dropped to 15 degree Celsius at five places in Odisha with G Udayagiri recording the lowest of 13 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre informed on Friday.
Koraput recorded the second lowest temperature of 13.8 degree Celsius followed by Kirei (14), Daringdabi (14.5), known to be the coldest place in Odisha, and Phulbani (15). Nabarangpur, Angul and Bhawanipatna were at 17 degree Celsius each.
Several places in Odisha, including Koraput, also witnessed season’s first fog this morning.
Meanwhile, the weather agency has forecast light rain at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak till 8.30 am on Saturday. Dry weather will prevail across the state thereafter. There will be no large change in the maximum and minimum temperature during the next 5 days, it added.
