Bhubaneswar: National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar’s Dean of Faculty Affairs, Prof Bedangadas Mohanty has been chosen as a Fellow of American Physical Society (APS).
The APS Council of Representatives picked Prof Mohanty as a Fellow following the recommendation from the APS Division of Nuclear Physics (DNP) at its meeting held in September.
“APS fellowship is an honour and recognition for my work by the world community. I look forward to continuing to work towards understanding the nature and the universe as well,” Professor Mohanty, who is now working at the Large Hadron Collider facility of European Organisation for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, was quoted as saying by EdexLive.
