Chennai: Nissan is back! After a long lull, the Japanese carmaker is seeing demand surge with the new Magnite. It has received 32,800 bookings in just over a month since the launch.
The Magnite crossed 15,000 bookings in just 15 days.
Nissan says it has received over 3,800 bookings online.
The company is planning to start a 3rd shift at its Chennai plant to ramp up production to 4,000 units per month from the current 2,700 units. This will help bring the waiting period down to 2 to 3 months from the current 4 months.
The crossover received a 4-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP recently.
