Bhubaneswar: The commissionerate police on Wednesday issued an advisory that the denizens of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will be allowed to burst crackers only for two hours, from 8 pm to 10 pm on Diwali.
Stating that the sound limit of crackers must not exceed 125 decibels, the advisory strictly prohibited bursting China cracker rolls.
Apart from this, there will be no bursting of crackers in the silent zone areas like hospitals and educational institutions. Action will be taken for violation of any of these guidelines, it added.
