Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday retracted prior notification and said that there would be no change in the norms of the post-Matric scholarship for the SC and ST students.

A press release from the Chief Minister’s Office said that the SC and ST students will avail the post-Matric scholarship as per the previous provision.

The CM has directed the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department to put the resolution on this matter on hold and immediately return the file to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) for a detailed review.

Notably, the Odisha Pradesh Youth Congress (OPYC) on Saturday had criticized the state government for slashing the course fee for sanction of the post-Matric scholarship for ST and ST students.
