Bhubaneswar: The state government has asked schools to start the admission process for primary and secondary classes by June 8 and complete it by July 15, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said on Saturday.
The minister also said that the government has no plan to close down any school. He said this in reply to a query on the reported closure of schools having less than 20 students.
Dash said the School and Mass Education Department has sought a detailed report on the number of schools and their student strength. “But there is no decision to close down any schools in the state,” he added.
