Rourkela: In view of COVID-19 pandemic, the Sundargarh district administration has banned community celebrations of Kali Puja, Diwali and Chhat Puja in the Steel City of Rourkela till November 30.
There is also a ban on bursting firecrackers as per the directive of the Odisha government, considering the potentially harmful effects of the fumes emanating from these on people with respiratory problems and co-morbidities
The decision was taken in a meeting headed by Rourkela SP in presence of Rourkela ADM, Tehsildar and other senior officials.
