No COVID Vaccination In Odisha On Sundays & Public Holidays

Bhubaneswar: The Health and Family Welfare Department informed on Monday that the COVID-19 vaccination in Odisha will continue every day except on Sundays and public holidays.

Director (Health and Family Welfare), Bijay Panigrahi said the drive aims to fufill the state government’s daily target of one lakh vaccinations of senior citizens and those over 45 years with co-morbidities, This is why the vaccination will continue every day except on Sundays and public holidays, he said.

Panigrahi further said the vaccination sites for the elderly have been raised to 700 in view of rising day temperature. Efforts are on to increase this number further, he added.

He informed that 91% of health workers and 80% of frontline warriors have been vaccinated so far.
