Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 vaccination at all session sites in Odisha’s Koraput and Jharsuguda districts will remain closed on Monday.
Informing the media, Director, Health and Family Welfare, Bijay Panigrahi said that vaccination was held at 769 session sites on Friday and the drive will continue at 512 sites across 28 districts on Monday.
Of 1,08,902 people of 45 years and above vaccinated on Friday, 69,420 were given the first dose and 34,675 the second dose. Among those vaccinated, three showed minor side effects, he said.
With this, the total number of vaccination in the state has gone up to 55,50,380 since January 16.
Referring to vaccines stock, Panigrahi said that the state had 3,78,100 doses of Covaxin and 1,05,380 doses of Covishield vaccines till Friday evening.
He further said that the state government has directed the district collectors to take immediate steps for the vaccination of the people who have not taken the second dose.
