Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Saturday said no decision has been taken yet on the reopening of schools, higher secondary schools and Plus II colleges in Odisha.
The minister said the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has given a green signal for the reopening of educational institutions and meetings are underway with the stakeholders in this regard.
“However, keeping the prevailing COVID-19 situation and the new mutated strain of the virus, the government will take a decision very soon only after ensuring the safety of the children,” he added.
On the conduct of the annual Board exams, he said as the CBSE has come up with a notification, the state government will announce the schedule for Class X Board examinations very soon. Apart from this, the schedule for the annual examinations in the Adarsh Vidyalaya will also be announced very soon, he pointed out.
