Bhubaneswar: No vehicles except ambulances and those engaged in emergency services will ply on the newly-constructed right embankment road of Taladanda Canal from Jobra Anicut Chhak to Hind Cinema and vice versa in Cuttack from 6 am to 9 am till further orders, the Twin City Commissionerate Police informed on Monday.
“This public notice has been issued to safeguard pedestrian and cyclist movement, to avoid traffic congestion, and to prevent any untoward incident & road hazards. The commuters may avail the ring road or left embankment road of Taladanda Canal for their movement,” it further said.
The violators have to cough up a minimum fine of Rs 500, which can extend up to Rs.1000, it added.
