Dhenkanal: Concerned over the spread of COVID-19 in Dhenkanal, the district administration on Saturday banned the entry of people from eight corona hotspot districts until further orders.
Briefing the media here, Dhenkanal Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera said that people from Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Gajapati, Balasore, Sundargarh and Angul will not be allowed to enter the district.
People visiting Dhenkanal from these eight districts for any urgent work will have to stay in institutional quarantine for 14 days, he added.
Dhenkanal has so far reported 66 COVID-19 cases and among them, 61 have recovered from the infection.
