Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Saturday said the evaluation of the annual Matric examination papers will remain suspended during the weekend shutdown in 11 districts of Odisha.
In a release, the BSE said there will be no evaluation of papers in Ganjam, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore on Saturday and Sunday till June 30.
However, the evaluation on the two days will continue in the remaining districts except in the containment zones, it added.
The state government on June 1 had ordered two-day shutdown in a week in 11 districts during the month of June taking note of sudden spike in COVID-19 cases.
