‘No Female Air Force Pilot Captured’: India Debunks 5 More Pakistan’s False Propaganda

Bhubaneswar: The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Saturday cautioned against “Pakistan-sponsored propaganda” on social media and urged people to scrutinise information.

It also rubbished some more lies being peddled by pro-Pakistan social media handles.

PIB Fact Check asserted that no female Air Force pilot has been captured in Pakistan while referring to posts about Squadron Leader Shivani Singh.

It further stated that there is no truth in the claims that an Indian pilot ejected from a fighter jet over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Reports of destruction or any damage to an S-400 system are baseless, it noted.

On the claim that three fighter jets have crashed in different areas of the Himalayan region, the unit said that the image being circulated is old, dating back to 2016.

It also rubbished social media posts, asserting that a cyber attack by Pakistan has caused 70% of India’s electricity grid to become dysfunctional.
