Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday announced that no fine will be imposed for not wearing masks while going in private vehicles.
However, it doesn’t include those travelling in taxis, rickshaws, trucks, buses and other public transport vehicles.
A ₹200 fine is being imposed for not wearing masks in public places.
Earlier, motorists had complained of being fined while they were inside their cars. This led to a change in the rules.
