No Fresh Corona Case In Puri; Know The Details Of 76 New Patients As Odisha Inches Towards 1600-Mark

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 affected tally in Odisha rose to 1593 with 76 fresh cases being detected in the last 24 hours.

The fresh cases have been reported from 10 districts with 16 from Balangir, 13 each from Khurda and Nuapada and 11 from Cuttack. The remaining cases are from Ganjam (10), Jagatsinghpur (6), two each from Nayagarh, Sundargarh and Balasore and one from Mayurbhanj.

Of these cases, 74 samples tested positive in quarantine centres while two cases are local contacts.

No new corona case has been detected in Puri, which saw four testing positive for the virus on Monday. The district had also reported no fresh cases on Sunday.

DETAILS OF THE 76 NEW CASES

13 cases in Nuapada (All in quarantine centres. 12 Maharastra and one Gujarat returnees)

6 cases in Jagatsinghpur (All in quarantine centres. 2 West Bengal & 4 Maharastra returnees)

11 cases in Cuttack (All in quarantine centres. 8 Gujarat, 2 Maharastra and 1 Tamil Nadu returnees)

2 cases in Balasore (All in quarantine centres. 1 Tamil Nadu and 1 Maharashtra returnees)

16 cases in Balangir (All in quarantine centres. 8 Maharastra, 5 West Bengal, 1 each of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu returnees)

10 cases in Ganjam (8 in quarantine centres. 6 Surat returnees and 2 local contact cases)

13 cases in Khurda (All in quarantine centres. 10 Surat and 3 Maharashtra returnees)

1 case in Mayurbhanj (In quarantine centre. Surat returnee)

2 cases in Nayagarh (All in quarantine centres. Surat returnees)

2 cases in Sundargarh (All in quarantine centres. 1 each of Jharkhand and Maharashtra returnees)

With seven deaths and 733 recoveries, Odisha now has 853 active cases.
