Paralakhemundi: There will be no Ganesh Puja in public places in Gajapati district this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Collector Anupam Saha said on Monday.
As part of the restriction, puja committees and other organisations will be barred from putting up pandals and tents for the festival, he added.
The collector also said that people have been asked to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines and not to congregate during the puja.
