Berhampur: The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) on Thursday said that no returnee from three states will be allowed to stay in home quarantine in any area under the civic body’s jurisdiction.
“All people returning from Maharashtra, Kerala and Gujarat will be kept in institutional quarantine mandatorily. Home quarantine option will not be made able available,” the order read.
It came close on the heels of 17 migrants from Surat testing positive for COVID-19 in Ganjam district on Thursday. The district has so far reported 21 corona positive cases and all of them are Surat returnees.
