No Indian Logistic Company Can Transport Pfizer’s Ultra Cold COVID-19 Vaccine

London: While Pfizer’s COVID-19 vacccine has been stated to be 90 per cent effective, the temperature requirements make it a nightmare for transportation in India. The vaccine needs to be stored at -70 degrees Celsius.

Cold chain logistic companies in India do not have the capacity to transport things colder than – 40 degrees, CEO of Snowman Logistics Sunil Nair told CNBC-TV18.

He also stated that the problem will not be for just India but also all countries.

Snowman currently has one lakh pellets capacity where each pellet can accommodate 6000-7000 doses of vaccine. These can transport at temperatures up to -30 degree Celsius.
