No International Flight Services Till Nov 30

New Delhi: Commercial international flight operations to and from India will remain suspended till November 30.

“This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation,” IANS quoted an official statement issued by the Centre on Wednesday.

“However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on select routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis,” it added.

However, the ‘Air Bubble’ agreement of India with 13 countries – United States, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Canada, the Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Nigeria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Japan – would allow citizens to travel freely between specified nations under a reciprocal arrangement.

The COVID-triggered lockdown had led to the suspension of passenger air services on March 25. Domestic flight services, however, resumed from May 25.
