Mumbai: Vijay Deverakonda has lashed out at critics questioning his relationship with Rashmika Mandanna, dropping the F-bomb in a blunt social media post following the backlash over their ‘Koffee With Karan’ appearance.
The actor declared that he had neither “kindness” nor “respect” for those unwilling to accept their happiness.
Vijay shared a video and a photograph featuring Rashmika, accompanied by an affectionate message celebrating their relationship and addressing those who have questioned their bond.
Describing Rashmika as one of the best parts of his life, the actor reassured well-wishers that they were happy together while making his stance clear to detractors.
In his post, Vijay wrote, “My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right ❤️. For all those concerned, We are both gloriously happy. I am blessed. If its me and her against the world – so be it ❤️. Earlier, Rashmika addressed the controversy in an eight-page statement, describing the online backlash as an “angry mob”.
She also clarified that Vijay’s decision to take time before marriage was rooted in their desire to understand each other better.
Hitting back at those questioning her commitment, the actress wrote, “I am OBSESSED with my man. When did that become a bad thing?”
Rashmika also credited Vijay with supporting her through difficult times and criticised those targeting her family, describing their behaviour as bullying disguised as feminism.
The controversy intensified after the couple’s appearance on the latest season of ‘Koffee With Karan’, where their comments about marriage became a talking point on social media.
During the episode, Vijay claimed that Rashmika had asked him to marry her “100 times”, while the actress revealed that it took a year of conversations to convince him.
