Bhubaneswar: The intense heat wave continued to prevail in interior Odisha on Wednesday with Boudh district remaining the hottest place at 43.2 degrees Celsius for second consecutive day.
Apart from Boudh, the day temperature remained at 40 degree and above at 14 places in Angul (42.1), Jharsuguda (42.8), Sambalpur (42.3), Sundargarh (41.5), Hirakud (42), Talcher (41.7), Bhawanipatna (41.5), Balangir (42.5), Phulbani (40), Titlagarh (42), Malkangiri (40.5), Sonepur (41), Nayagarh (41) and Paralakhemundi (40), said IMD in an evening bulletin.
However, there was a marginal fall in the day temperature in the coastal districts. The day temperature in the capital city also came down about 2 degrees (39.5).
The Met office, however, said the weather will change in next 24 hours as there will be thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph at one or two at most places in south coastal districts and a few places in northern and western parts of the state under the influence of a north-south trough (stretching from east Bihar to south coastal Odisha) and a cyclonic circulation over Bihar and adjoining East Uttar Pradesh.
In view of the nor’wester, IMD has issued yellow warning for the following districts:

Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Kandhamal.
April 30
Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Khurda, Gajapati, Malkangiri and Koraput.
May 1
Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
May 2
Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
