Puri/Bhubaneswar: Acting on the COVID-19 guidelines of the Odisha government, there will be no Mahalaya rituals at the Baisi Pahacha inside the Jagannath temple in Puri.
As informed by the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), special arrangements have been made near the Uttara Dwar (north gate) of the temple where the people from different parts of Odisha are performing Pinda Dana (offering food) to their ancestors to satiate their soul.
For smooth conduct of the rituals, two tents have been put up near the north gates.
As the devotees are not allowed to enter the temple, arrangements have been made to provide Mahaprasad to them at the Uttara Dwar.
