Bhubaneswar: There will be no mass prayer at any masjid in Bhubaneswar during the holy month of Ramadan beginning April 23, amid COVID-19 outbreak and the need to maintain the social distancing norms.
A decision to this effect was taken after a meeting between the Commissionerate Police and the chiefs of 12 masjids in the Odisha capital on Wednesday.
The community been advised to perform Namaz at their house with strict adherence to the social distancing guidelines.
Besides, they have also been advised to celebrate the Iftar (also known as Fatoor, is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset) in the same manner.
