[WATCH] No More Weekend Shutdown In Bhubaneswar, Cuttack; Know What’s Allowed In September

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday further eased the lockdown norms by withdrawing the ongoing weekend shutdown in three cities – Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri.

THE GUIDELINES FOR SEPTEMBER

>> There will be no weekend shutdown across the state

>> The night curfew will be imposed only in urban areas from 10 pm to 5 am

>> All types of shops, malls will remain open from 5 am to 10 pm

>> It is the responsibility of shop, mall owners to ensure that COVID appropriate behaviour is followed by the customers

>> The ceiling on weddings, thread ceremony and funeral programmes has been increased to 250

>> Marriage processions will be allowed with due prior written approval from competent authorities subject to the ceiling 50 participants, including the bridegroom, priest, friends, relatives, guests, members of band party, light and sound systems. They should count towards the above ceiling of 250 persons.

>> All museums, libraries will be allowed to open with COVID restrictions in place

>> Cinema halls, malls allowed to operate with full capacity

>> COVID-19 vaccination final certificate will no longer be required for entering cinema halls in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack city and Puri town and shopping malls across the state.

RESTRICTIONS

>> The prohibition on all social/religious/political/cultural gatherings will continue

>> Exhibitions/ trade fairs/melas will remain prohibited.

>>Auditoriums/assembly halls/similar facilities will remain open only for official meetings as per the seating capacity adhering to COVID safety protocols.

>> All religious festivals/festivities/functions will be held/celebrated/observed in accordance with 9 August guidelines issued by the government.

NIGHT CURFEW

>> Home delivery of essential goods, food items, including groceries, vegetables, fish, meat, egg and milk are permitted.

>> Medicine/pharmaceuticals/medical devices/oPtical shops will remain open.

>> Home delivery of food by restaurants, hotels and aggregators such as Swiggy, Zomato is allowed.

>> No restrictions on COV1D testing and vaccination centres and movement of persons/vehicles for these purposes.
