Nabarangpur: Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari on Monday reiterated that all landless families in Odisha will soon be issued Record of Rights (RoR).
“There will be no landless families in Odisha. Tehsildars will proactively identify and provide land deeds to the landless. Pattas will be distributed by August 2026 in Nabarangpur,” he said while speaking at Martyrs’ Day celebration at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Papadahandi.
The state government has committed to provide at least four decimals of land to all landless people across the state within the next four years.
Not only the poor landless individuals but government and government-aided schools will also be provided RoR of the land they are functioning from. “Tehsildars will personally deliver these deeds to the headmasters,” he said.
Pujari further stated that 22,000 land deeds have been provided to various educational institutions in the past one year. Forest land will also be allocated as deeds to educational institutions, he added.
